EDUC 636 - Second Language Acquisition and Development

The purpose of this course is to examine and utilize current research and theories of teaching and learning for acquiring
a second language. Topics examined include the following: understanding the variety of purposes of language, L1 and L2 development, stages of L2 language development, immigration history, and current data on language acquisition.
