EDUC 523 - Reading in the Content Area

This course prepares candidates in research-based strategies, techniques, and skills for strengthening the literacy skills of diverse learners in the content areas in elementary, middle, and high school. The course provides a scientifically based foundation on literacy and language development across language systems and includes applications of educational technology. 20 Field hours are required.
