ACCT 323 - Technology Applications for Accounting and Business Credit Hours: 3
In this course, students will apply fundamental accounting principles to business transactions using a computerized accounting system, such as QuickBooks, to record, report, and analyze sales, purchasing, payroll activity, inventory management, invoices, fixed assets, and more. Students will also gain an understanding of the role and importance of data analytics in accounting, including the collection, cleaning, validation, and transformation of financial data. By utilizing tools like Microsoft Excel or Tableau, students will apply data analytic techniques, produce financial reports, and create visualizations to summarize financial information from a management perspective. This course integrates key concepts from other areas of study to prepare students for real-world accounting challenges.
