CHEM 420 - Instrumental Analysis Credit Hours: 4
This is an advanced course in analytical chemistry emphasizing the theory and practice of instrumental analysis. Topics to be covered include spectrophotometry, spectrometry, liquid and gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, atomic spectroscopy, and electrochemical techniques. Quality assurance considerations, including sample preparation techniques, advanced calibration strategies, and signal-to-noise ratios will also be covered.
Prerequisite: CHEM 335
