DATA 315 - Data Analytics


Credit Hours: 3

This course develops students’ understanding of concepts and methods of data analysis that can be used to answer real-world questions. The course focuses on the application of data analytic techniques to answer these questions using evidence-based decision making for a wide range of disciplines. The course will examine fundamental concepts of data analysis and data ethics, statistical applications, introductory level programming (assuming no prior programming experience), data visualization techniques, introductory multiple variate analysis, and communication of analysis results.

Prerequisite: MATH 140 , ONE of the following PSYC 231 PSYC 232 BUSI 325 , or MATH 340
