PHEN 150 - Introduction to Astronomy

This course is an introduction to the science of astronomy and the scientific method. Topics include: the history of astronomy, light and matter, astronomical instruments, the solar system, stellar characterization, stellar evolution, and the interstellar medium. The course concludes with a brief survey of galaxies and cosmology.
