MUSC 375 - Principles of Music Composition

Credit Hours: 1

This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of musical composition in the Euro-American classical tradition.  Students will explore the concepts of tonality, meter, rhythm, and motivic development and how they relate to the compositional structure of music.  Emphasis will be placed on student composition and other creative projects. 

Prerequisite: MUSC 205  or instructor consent.
