Introduction (3 credits)


Flex High Impact Experience (1- 6 credits)


Number of credits and form will vary.

  • Option 1: Study abroad
    • Semester, year, or shorter experience; must include completion of WRLD 310: Study Abroad Seminar.
  • Option 2: Internship with a Global Organization.
  • Option 3: IDIS 300: Internship with pre-approved organization in the U.S. or abroad doing globally-oriented work.
  • Option 4: Model UN (New York) POLS 354: Model UN.
  • Option 5: Washington Semester (Study Award program with American University).
  • Option 6: Performance leadership (Global Theatre/Music Composition/Music Programming/Poetry or Fiction campus-wide event).
  • Option 7: Other experience approved by academic advisor.

Senior Capstone


Completed with students across the major.  Should include: written reflection on course work in the major and high impact experience(s); public presentation of seminar project to audience of faculty, fellow majors, larger Muskingum community.

Specialty/Track (15 credits)


15 credits in specialty courses in a chosen track.  Must include courses from at least three separate prefixes.

Global Organizations and Security Track (15 credits)  

Global Humanities Track (Arts, Cultures, Languages)
