SOCI 420 - Health Disparities

Credit Hours: 3

This course provides a broad overview of the macro-level determinants which lead to preventable differences in health outcomes for socially disadvantaged groups.  Students will examine the social determinants of health, biological and environmental influences, and relevant policies from a public health and social justice perspective.

Prerequisite: PHST 115  or SOCI 101
