EDUC 384 - Integrated Science Methods for Middle and Adolescent to Young Adult Educators
Credit Hours: 3
Provides knowledge and skills necessary to provide science instruction consistent with national and state science curriculum models to students in grades 4-12 with an emphasis on the use of a variety of instructional approaches appropriate for culturally and developmentally diverse classrooms, integrated and interdisciplinary instruction, and the Ohio Academic Content Standards. The course prepares students to utilize approaches to teaching and learning which integrate content relavent to students’ lives, honor individual differences, culturate skills in recognizing and solving problems and provide awareness of relevant teaching tools, including manipulative materials and educational technology.
Prerequisite: EDUC 312 , EDUC 313 , or EDUC 314
Field Hours Requirement: Required field experience: 20 hours.
