EDUC 375 - Professional Practices in AYA Education Credit Hours: 3
Through case studies, guest speakers, role play activities, and reflective journals, this course focuses on 1) developing skills in clear and concise communication with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues, 2) understanding the importance of tailoring instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities, 3) strategies for creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom that respects and values diversity among students, 4) understanding the importance of continuous learning and staying updated on current educational research and best practices, and 5) understanding the value of working effectively with colleagues, administrators, and other support staff.
Prerequisite: Admission to the teacher education program Prerequisite or Corequisite: EDUC 313 or EDUC 314
