HLSC 115 - Introduction to Public Health Studies


Credit Hours: 3

This course provides an overview of the key concepts and basic principles of public health, with a focus on the U.S. public health system.  The course will cover fundamental elements of public health, including the social, behavioral, environmental, and biological factors that contribute to specific individual and population health outcomes, and related practical, ethical, and political challenges, as well as address emerging issues in public health practice.
